What changes for the person doing the caring
The lift over a bath rim is where the risk sits, for both people. A low, level step-in takes that movement out of the routine entirely, which is usually the difference between a two-person task and a one-person one.
It also takes the bathroom out of the argument. A walk-in bath or a wet room means weeks of work and a room that no longer looks like theirs. This is a door in the bath they already have, fitted between breakfast and teatime.
The practical details carers ask about
Fitted in a single day
One engineer, one visit. No second appointment, no waiting for a plumber and a tiler to line up.
Grab rails and a bath board
Fitted at the same time if they help. Tell us during the survey rather than after.
0% VAT relief
If the person is chronically sick or disabled, the work may be zero-rated. We will tell you honestly whether you qualify.
DBS-checked engineers
Our own trained team, not subcontractors, insured and working under their own name.
Pay after the work
Card or Klarna, once the door is in and tested. Nothing up front.
Tested to 20,000 cycles
The seal is audited continuously by TÜV SÜD. It is a door that gets opened twice a day for years.
Where it is not the right answer
If the person cannot lower themselves into a bath at all, or cannot get back up from a seated position, a door in the bath will not solve that. A level-access shower is the better spend, and we will tell you so on the phone rather than send someone out.
We would rather lose the job than fit something that gets used twice.
Questions carers ask
When are grab rails and a bath board fitted?
At the same survey visit if you tell us in advance, or on the fitting day itself if you decide later. Either way, they go in at the same time as the door, no second appointment.
Does the carer need to be present on the day?
No, but it helps. The person receiving the door needs to be safely out of the bathroom while we work, and having someone familiar there for the after-fit walkthrough means the handover sticks.
When do we pay, and how?
After the work is finished and tested in front of you, by card or Klarna. Nothing is charged before that.
What if the person I care for can no longer lower themselves into water?
Start with the bath board: a removable seat across the bath so they can wash sitting down, without lowering into the water at all. The bath itself stays exactly as it is, so anyone else in the household can still bathe normally. If even that is not manageable, we will say so honestly and point you towards a level-access shower instead, rather than fit a door that will not get used.
Not sure whether it suits the person you look after?
Four details and we call you back within one working day. No pushy visit, and you pay only after the work is done.
