How was the UDOOR created?
After an elderly member of our family had an accident in the bathroom, we needed a way for them to keep using their bath safely, without tearing the bathroom apart. We couldn't find one, so we spent two years developing it ourselves. That's how the UDOOR® bathtub door was born in 2010.
Today we manufacture every door in our own European factory, hold EU and British trademark protection, and our engineers have fitted thousands of doors across the UK since 2018, but every installation still gets the care we'd want for our own family.
Fay reads every order herself and is the person who calls you back. If you speak to UDOOR before your fitting day, it's usually her.
Balázs co-founded UDOOR after his own family needed a safer way to bathe, and still leads sales and coordination today, the same way he built the first door: for people, not just for the sale.

Bathroom Adaptation Installer - Full-Time
Monday–FridayEmployedWith almost two decades of experience in bathroom adaptations, UDOOR has grown into a company operating across several European countries — but we've kept the friendly, hands-on culture that got us here. Now we're looking for a skilled installer to join the team.
£38,000–£50,000/year (DOE) + daily bonus for double installations.
AREAS COVERED
Based in Doncaster, Sheffield or Leeds, covering South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. We also have opportunities in Scotland, and we're open to strong candidates from other UK regions.
EQUIPMENT PROVIDED
Van, uniform, phone, tools and PPE all provided.
Full training, regular reviews and real career growth.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Full UK driving licence + right to work in the UK
- Confident with power tools (jigsaws, angle grinders, polishers)
- Great with customers — many have additional care needs
- Reliable, honest, and happy working independently
- Plumbing experience a bonus, not essential
Subcontractor Installer
Self-employedSole trader or LtdUDOOR is expanding our network of trusted installation partners. Almost two decades in bathroom adaptations, now working across several European countries — and we're looking for experienced, self-employed installers who want steady work on their own terms.
Competitive per-job rate, typically £200–£300 depending on job size and complexity, paid promptly on invoice. You manage your own diary and workload.
AREAS COVERED
Covering Doncaster, Sheffield, Leeds and the surrounding South/West Yorkshire area, plus Scotland. Open to strong subcontractor partners from other UK regions too.
EQUIPMENT PROVIDED
Materials and specialist equipment supplied — you bring your own van and tools.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Self-employed (sole trader or ltd), own UTR + public liability insurance
- Own van and hand tools
- Confident with power tools
- Reliable, detail-oriented, good with customers
